Multiple sources have confirmed that the Medinah Country Club has voted to accept the 2019 BMW Championship at it’s annual meeting today at the club.

With apparently no movement on getting a tournament from the USGA or the PGA of America, after hosting the most successful Ryder Cup ever back in 2012, the Medinah Country Club has voted to accept a PGA Tour event in 2019.

The BMW Championship in the final year of it’s contract, will head to Medinah. The last PGA Tour event at Medinah was the 1966 Western Open won by Billy Casper. Medinah has hosted three Western Opens.

Golfers on Golf Radio will discuss this anouncement in the morning at 9 Am on WSBC AM 1240 and WCFJ AM 1470. Join us live in the morning.
