Mike Mandakas is on the move. His former place of instruction Pellican Golf at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton is in the review mirror.

Mandakas earlier this year relocated to Willowbrook, and has never looked back.

His Elevation Golf is elevating players by the day to a new level in golf. It’s a great look at your game, your swing and what you do right, and what your doing wrong on the golf course.

Mandakas says now is the time to do your off course work, so you are ready to play when the golf courses reopen in late March or early April.

If you are thinking new clubs, it’s not bad idea to starting about what you want to add to your bag for 2018.

You can purchase in front of Christmas and get some great deals, or what until the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando in late January is over, where the newest products get announced by the equipment companies. During the winter season is the best time to get fitted, get your club order placed, and comfortable with them before your first outdoor tee time, whether it’s here in Chicago, or down south in the spring.
