The U.S. Open is coming back to the Midwest after a 14 year absence in 2017, and it will be contested at Erin Hills Golf Club in Erin Wisconsin.

Golfers this is one championship you don’t want to miss. Because the U.S. Open will not return to the Midwest for at least seven years after the last putt drops at Erin Hills.

Regarding tickets, USGA members can buy them for the 2017 U.S. Open on March 1st. The general public can buy tickets starting on June 13th.

Erin Hills in Conjunction with the USGA will be hosting an U.S Open trophy tour.

Three places you can come get your picture taken with the trophy are the Chicago Golf Show Feb. 26-28., the Michigan Golf Show March 4-6 and at the Milwaukee Golf Show March 11-13.

There is a new addition in overnight accommodations at Erin Hills. The Waterville cottage is bigger than other cottages on the property. Including the Lahinch Cottage that opened in 2015.

To ensure that Erin Hills is in the best possible shape for the U.S. Open, the course will close on Oct. 4th in 2016, and not reopen for public play in 2017 until after the U.S. Open concludes in June.

Erin Hills is already taking lodging requests, and booking tee times for the 2016 golf season, which will begin on May 9th.

Erin Hills is offering golf packages from May 9-15, play one round for $265, spend the night and get a second round for free. From May 16 to July 25, play one round for $265, spend the night and the next days round is only $165.00.

During the holiday weekends of Memorial Day May 27-30 and 4th of July, July 2-5 play one round for $265, spend the night at Erin Hills and receive a complimentary roud of golf the next day.
