BLOW THE HORN, opening day is coming this week for more area golf courses, as the temperatures will start locking in at the mid-40’s level and 50’s by the weekend. Several of the Golfvisions golf courses, such as Tanna Farms and Settlers Hill have announced they are opening on Wednesday this week. Courses such as Tamarack and Cantigny were open last Thursday as temps jumped up in the low 60’s. Check in with your favorite course and see if opening day is coming soon.

  THE ISLAND RESORT AND CASINO in Michigan’s UP has announced that it’s newest golf course, the Paul Albanese designed Sage Run, will open Memorial Day weekend in 2019. The course opened for limited play in 2018, but closed early and will open later this spring, giving the course a bit of time to mature. The resorts 1st course Sweetgrass could open sooner.
