There are several organizations across the country that are working our military veterans, and the first organization that brought veterans and golf together was the Folds of Honor.

After the Gulf War, and then the war on terrorism after 9-11, our veterans started to come home with injuries that would stay with some of them for life.

Families of veterans needed help, and Major Dan Rooney a combat pilot and a golf professional decided he wanted to make a difference.

It all started with a golf outing in Michigan that raised over $6,500 dollars, this past year the foundation Rooney started raised over $6.5 million dollars over Patriot Day weekend (Labor day weekend).

Folds of Honor gave out over 2,600 scholarships to families of military members that totaled over $13,000,000.

Major Ed Pulido a real american hero who lost his leg below the knee, is the spokesman and VP of Public Relations for Folds of Honor.
