Prospect Golf Club will reopen from renovation on Saturday August 1st, with a special shotgun outing and dinner. Residents may call this Friday to book a foursome, if you are a non-resident of Mt. Prospect you may call Monday July 20th for remaining tee times. There are special outings on Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers are needs for a few upcoming tournaments in the area, please volunteer if you have the time and want to have special access to some great golf events.

First up the Western Amateur at Rich Harvest Farms,the first round of 18 holes is on Tuesday August 4th. Most of the positions are filled, but a few spots do remain. See Thewesternamateur.com or visit Richharvestfarms.com for more details.

The U.S. Amateur at Olympia Fields is still looking for some volunteers for amateur week, that runs from August 17-23. See 2015usamateur.com for more details, cost is only $75.

Volunteer Registration for the 2017 U.S Open is now underway. The 2017 U.S. Open will be held at Erin Hills from June 12-18, 2017.

In order to make the championship a great experience for the players and fans, the USGA will need the help of some 4,500 volunteers over the course of tournament week.

If you wish to apply to be a volunteer go to https://2017volunteers.usga.org. If you need more information on the responsibilities you can contact the championship office at 2017usopen@usga.org.
