MISTWOOD GOLF CLUB located on Renwick Road in Romeoville, is holding a Cleveland Golf Wedge fitting clinic on Friday June 30th.
Time is from 10:30 Am to 12 Noon, and cost is $175.00. The clinic is hosted by both Cleveland Golf representatives and Mistwood Golf professionals.

THE 103rd Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) Amateur Championship, gets underway tomorrow at Lake Shore Country Club.
The schedule for the week is as follows.
Monday the field of 76 players will play 36 holes of stroke play. This will determine the 16 players who advance on to the match play portion of the championship.
A playoff will be held if needed at the end of the 36 holes to determine the match play field. So then on Tuesday, the Round of 16 will be held.
Wednesday will be the quarter-final and semi-final matches. With the championship match being played on Thursday morning. So for more information see CDGA.org. Charlie Waddell returns to defend his title he won in 2022.

Glen Oak Country Club head golf professional Danny Mulhearn has made it into the field, for this weeks U.S. Senior Open at sentry World Golf Club in Stevens Point Wisconsin.
For Mulhearn this is not his first U.S. Senior open, Mulhearn previously played in the championship when it was held at Salem Country Club in 2017.
Mulhearn will be joined in the field by fellow Illinois PGA professional Mike Small, golf coach at the University of Illinois.

TPC WISCONSIN
The 30th TPC Club in the network will open this August.
But there are now membership opportunities available. The former Cherokee Country Club was showing it’s age after 60 years, so member and neighbor PGA Tour professional and University of Illinois alum Steve Stricker, decided to take the property to a higher level.

So the championship has made a series of announcements leading into the championship.
Ludvig Aberg a Swedish upcoming star in golf, has committed to play at the JDC. Ludvig a former World Amateur No.1, and back-to-back winner of the college Ben Hogan Award in 2022-2023, has now turned professional. He earned the No.1 ranking at the PGA Tour School, which earned him direct access to the tour. Ludvig finished 25th in his professional debut in the Canadian Open.
TWO TOP COLLEGE STARS have been given exemptions to the JDC, in keeping with the tournaments long standing tradition of showcasing the game of golfs future stars.
Gordan Sargent a former World #1 and NCAA National Champion, along with former Western Amateur Champion Michael Thorbjornsen. So both players recently competed in the U.S. Open and Sargent played via special exemption in Masters.
AWARD WINNING PERFORMERS Blake Shelton and Darius Rucker will perform after Rounds 3 (Shelton) and Round 4 (Rucker) on July 8 & 9. So fans can watch from the right side of the 18th fairway at TPC Deere Run. But the performers will be set up on the left side of the fairway.
