WELCOME TO EAGLE RIDGE RESORT and SPA, AN ILLINOIS GOLF DESTINATION

YOU HEAR SO MUCH talk about all the great golf around the Midwest. Wisconsin becoming the Myrtle Beach of the Midwest, Yes Michigan and all the ad’s. The French Lick resort in Indiana, Big Cedar in Missouri.

Because there are plenty of great golf properties in the Midwest, and all the places and states named above are great places to go. But it’s been a while since anybody has been talking about Illinois as a golf destination.

ILLINOIS has plenty of great private clubs, especially around the Chicago area. But they are what they are-Private. The Chicago area also has plenty of great public courses. But then it’s a course here, and then over there.

WHEN MOST GOLFERS think destination golf. They think multiple courses, hotels, spa’s and maybe a casino on the property. Toss in swimming pools, multiple restaurants and other activities.

Well now Illinois is getting back on track with a golf destination property. Eagle Ridge is like our Chicago sports teams like to say, rebuilding. But while they won’t win a national championship in a couple of years, Eagle Ridge will offer what everyone who travels to a destination property expects, when they visit Galena and the resort for a stay.

The General turns 25 next week, on May 25th.

NOT ONLY has Eagle Ridge re-invested in the property, they have invested in you, the resort guest, or the member, or home owner.

BECAUSE IT’S amazing to see the work done on the General Clubhouse, that now houses the General Store and gas station.

On the hot days in the past, guests and workers had issues with the building keeping cool. But now with six new air conditioners added, that will no longer be a problem. In the spring or in the fall/winter, the two new heating boilers will help keep the building warmer than it was. Your beer will be colder in the summer, because of the new area’s where the on-tap beer and keg area’s operate.

The new kitchen improvements will help those making your food, make it better and deliver it faster to your table.

The golf courses will be kept in much better shape with the new commitment to new John Deere equipment. So make sure to bring your clubs.

SEVERN NEW SOLAR PANELS around the property and other steps taken, will help keep the cost of a visit down, because the resorts energy prices will be under better control.

NEW SIGNS will better help guide guests around the resort. So they will know exactly where they are going, o find the locations of that’s days activities.

THE WOODPECKER PROOF siding that has been installed on the various clubhouses, will help those facilities maintain their style and appearance.

THE NEW LOOK GENERAL CLUBHOUSE.

Home to Lounge 289 and a revamped and improved pro shop, will help guests and golfers their time at the General golf course. Where the new patio deck offers great views during outdoor dining.

Plus the indoor dining experience can be enhanced with sliding like garage door style windows. Depending on how Mother Nature wants to present the day, can be opened or closed.

The new 15,000+ square foot spa, will be major addition to Eagle Ridge.

THE NEW SPA at EAGLE RIDGE will be able to offer services not offered in the past.

More options bring the guests more ways to whine-down and relax. So once the spa opens, do check out the new list of services offered.

The new spa building located on the ground where the general Store previously existed, will have it’s Grand Opening on July 13th and 14th.

The resort’s management team is working through a long punch-list improvements, with many yet to come. So follow the list of changes and improvements as they happen, right here at Golfersongolf.com.
