THE NEW Titleist Velocity Golf Ball.

THE NEWLY redone Titleist Velocity Golf Ball now has an increased speed, and a higher ball flight for golfers in need of more distance.

Because of the new higher compression core and reformulated cover combination, Velocity delivers like never before.

“This golf ball is fun for our team,” said Frederick Waddell, Director of Golf Ball Product Management, Titleist. “We’re designing for a golfer looking for distance. So this allows us to be singularly focused on speed. But we were able to achieve the performance goals of a longer driver and iron distance while maintaining it’s high ball flight and greenside playability through new and reformulated core and cover technology.”

The new Velocity ($29.99 MAP) is in golf shops since Feb. 4, 2022 in white color only #1-4. But the three Matte colors, Orange, Green and Blue will not be available until October of this year. The dimple pattern sits at a 350 Octahedral dimple design.

The NEW Titleist TruFeel Golf Ball.

TITLEIST HAS announced the new TruFeel golf ball, now redesigned for more distance and better greenside feel.

“The TruFeel golfer is focused on long and soft. But seeks overall performance,” said Frederick Waddell, Director of Golf Ball Product Management, Titleist. “That is where TruFeel stands out in it’s category. So the golfer doesn’t have to sacrifice performance and can trust the quality and consistency of Titleist.”

“The new 1.600″ core is large for a soft golf ball,” said Mike Madson, Director of Aerodynamics and Research Engineering, Titleist. “Because adding more fast rubber to the golf ball, we add more speed for distance. But we also needed to balance the increased core size by reformulating a slightly thinner cover.”

The new TruFeel ball has 376 dimple pattern. In addition, the TruFeel ball will continue to utilize an alignment aid-type mark. So golfers do not have to mark their ball with a line on the side.

TruFeel (white color & high optic yellow) balls ($24.99/dozen MAP) are in golf shops as of February 4th. With Matte Red colored balls available October 1st of 2022.
