THE FARMERS INSURANCE OPEN is headed into the final round today. So check it out on CBS.
Local players such as Doug Ghim of Arlington Hts., and Kevin Streelman of Winfield are in the field, and made the cut. Hopefully CBS will give them a few seconds of air time.
BUT FROM OUR LOCAL SCENE there was more this week.
Northbrook native Nick Hardy went to the Monday 4-Spot qualifier, and missed out. Highwood native Patrick Flavin actually made it into a 5 for 2 playoff at 2 under par. Due to weather the playoff was held on Tuesday. Flavin drove 45 minutes from the course to a friends parents home who put him up for the night. Then 45 minutes back to the golf course on Tuesday morning. But unfortunately he did not advance into this weeks field at the Farmers.
So do you have plans for Super Sunday yet ?
Because if you don’t, why not mix a little golf in pre-game.
Work on your golf game and then stick around McWethy’s Sports Bar in Bolingbrook on Rt. 53. You can call the dome at (630)-739-7600 and reserve your spot, as indoor dining is back.
