The book is the work of St. Andrews based father and son photography team of Iain and Christopher Lowe. With text and illustrations by Scottish golf historian and fourth generation St. Andrean David Joy.
This book centers around 14 of Scotland’s must play golf courses, the courses that make golfers from around the globe wishing to visit Scotland.
These 14 great Scottish golf courses represent over 600 years of golf history.
While historic courses such as Carnoustie, The Old Course, Muirfield, Turnberry, Prestwick, Royal Troon, North Berwick and Royal Dornoch are featured. New courses built since 2000, like Kingsbarns and Trump International are among those profiled in the book.
The Lowes currently have four photographic books titles to their credit, and Scotland-Home of Golf might be the best to date.
Around the pictures by the Lowe’s are hand drawn pencil illustrations, are joined with text and feature the great champions of the game that have walked the fairways of these golf courses.
The books creators like to say they have created a “love letter” to the golfers whose presence is currently missed, due to the pandemic.
Scotland-Home of Golf features mostly pictures that will inspire golfers. Golfers whose love of golf and especially links golf, will enjoy the book and want to start planning their trip to where golf is played in it’s purist form.
