It’s that last golf holiday weekend in the summer season, even though it’s not official on the calendar. Many folks will tell you summer is over when they wake up on Tuesday morning.

Where did summer go, it seems like it went by too fast. But then again it always does. So while you still can, get out and hit the little round white ball. There are plenty of holiday weekend deals to take advantage of, just check out the websites of many of your favorite courses, or pick up the phone and check in.

This weekend is also Patriot Day or Patriot Golf weekend, it’s your chance to donate to the Folds of Honor Group. They do a lot for our veterans, help them make a difference.

FIRST ON THE TEE, Congrats to the Executive Women’s golf Association on helping bring 2,000 women into the game of golf this year, and that’s for the second straight year.
